"Casual Anguilla" Article wins Two CTO Awards

NEW YORK, NY, June 2009 --- The Portfolio Marketing Group walked away with three out of seven awards when the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) paid tribute to members of the U.S. and Caribbean media communities during a special Caribbean Media Awards Luncheon on June 11 as part of Caribbean Week in New York. Their work on behalf of their client, The Anguilla Tourist Board, won two of the six top awards, in addition to the grand prize of “Best in Show”. David Bear, former travel editor of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, took home the prize for “Best Feature Article in a Consumer Newspaper” for his story published in February 2008 entitled “Casual Anguilla; Miles of Superb Beaches” (click here). The same article, which was nationally syndicated across the USA, was also honored with the “Best in Show” grand prize. |
